Photo Gallery: XFX Radeon HD 6870 (HD687AZHFC)

XFX's base model Radeon HD 6870 video card is all black, and the top is covered with a shroud.  XFX uses a proprietary heatpipe cooler with a single fan.  It's pretty short gaming oriented card at around 8" long.  The GPU and memory clocks are stock at 900MHz and 4200MHz (QDR), respectively.

The expansion card backplate contains a good variety of outputs: 2x DVI, HDMI and 2x mini-DisplayPort.  A DVI to VGA adapter is not included, but one of the DVI outputs is capable of outputting a VGA signal.  The stamped out XFX logo is actually a grill, which is used to exhaust hot air.

The vents on the front of the shroud also exhaust hot air from the cooler.
