AS SSD performs different types of read and write tests using data that isn't easily compressible.  As per the assumptions made earlier, the six channel 180GB version of the Force Series GT falls a bit behind with sequential transfers, but is able to match its eight channel Sandforce + synchronous NAND brethren when it comes to 4K transfers.
